Supplements and Vitamins … Can They Enhance Your Weight Loss Goals?

by: Mike Yeager

Nutritional supplements can play a key role in the health of children and adults. Many people feel that they don’t get enough vitamins and minerals through their daily intake of food and, therefore, turn to supplements to fill in the gaps. Dietary supplements come in a variety of sizes, potencies and, of course, health claims.

Vitamins, minerals and supplements are considered to be a preventive step by building up the bodies own defenses to combat and avert colds and illnesses. Vitamin C, Calcium, vitamin E and many other supplements are considered to be beneficial in thwarting off the ill effects of common colds.

Secrets Of Successful Weight Loss

by Meri Raffetto

Weight loss…if we could just find the right diet we would achieve our goals, right? The sad truth is that weight loss diets, for the most part, don’t work and are becoming a thing of the past. Research shows that 85-95% of dieters regain any weight they’ve lost within 3-5 years. Most diets simply dictate what to eat and how much, and usually don’t teach us to make better food choices once we go off. When we go back to our old habits the weight comes back and we end up in a constant battle to get the weight down again.

Weight Loss – How To Beat The Cravings

Leigh Everett

Most of us are "regular" people. We don't eat the perfect diet all the time and have our struggles with food, same as everyone else. But having an awareness of this fact and knowing a little bit about our health and food nutrition can help when it comes to making wise decisions.

Many people struggle with food "cravings." Studies tell us that it's fairly common for food cravings to happen at certain times, quite often at around bedtime. Your guard may be down, you may have had an unusually hard day, and off you go on your not-so-merry way to find that tasty treat. Fatigue and stress often combine to take their toll on the best of intentions.

Water and Exercise: Stay Hydrated!

by Ray Kelly

Our bodies are made up of over 75% water. We all know that without water, there is no life. In fact we can only live 3 days without it. However, water has been replaced in most diets by soft drinks and other sugar sweetened refreshments. However, water is a healthier and more necessary drink that leads to better health and longetivity.

Your personal need for water can vary due to exercise, temperature and weight. Studies have shown that over 2/3’s of adults do not get enough water on a daily basis. By simply drinking water regularly you can replenish your body and keep it well-hydrated and functioning at maximum efficiency.
