Goal Setting
What You Focus on is What You See
Justin Herald
What you see is what you get!
I was recently asked if I am a “half full” or “half empty” type of person with regards to the glass example. My reply was very short, sharp and to the point. I replied, “I just see the glass. It is up to me to either fill it or empty it”.
Whilst this may sound simplistic, you would be surprised to see how many people actually let their experiences, good or bad, affect their future direction.
Let me explain this point by telling you a story.
Self Esteem and Self Confidence - The Keys in your Pursuit of Happiness and your Goals
by Evert Farnell
I can't believe it. I was watching the news this morning and they had a segment on food allergies. They suggested making little card that you could give to waiters or waitresses that outline your food allergy because it is embarrassing to talk about it. WHAT! Why in the hel would it be embarrassing to talk about a food allergy?
The only reason is because the person with the allergy has no self-confidence or is just a wimp. I could not believe it. If you have a food allergy then it would seem that talking to a waiter, who is bringing you your food, would be a reasonable thing.
7 Effective Ways To Set Your Goals In Motion Today
by: Caroline Jalango
1. Stop seeking approval from people.
You don’t need anyone’s permission to fulfill your dream. Trust yourself and give yourself permission to succeed. Having support from people whose opinion you value is a wonderful thing but it should not be the criterion for whether you begin acting on fulfilling your goals or not
If you really desire to turn your idea into reality, constantly floating it around and seeking the approval of people will waste your time and kill your dream. What will happen to your idea if you don’t get the approval of those whose permission you so desperately need? Nothing!
Setting Achievable Goals For Success
by: Ryan McKenzie
In order to achieve something, the first thing you should develop is a goal. Without a short term and a long term goal, the likeliness of you following through with something you want is highly unlikely. Trying to achieve something without setting a goal is like walking blindly through the dessert in search of treasure, but without having a map or any idea what you are really looking for.
Setting Financial Goals, The First Step In Turning Your Dreams Into Reality Part II

I decided to resurrect this article (with some changes due to events that have happened this year) from my website because of the time of year it is. With New Year’s Day being less than a week away, this is the time of year where many of us reflect on the past year, re-examine our dreams, desires and goals and make resolutions for the upcoming year.
Some of us are more successful at keeping those resolutions than others. There are those people who say they want to make changes to improve their lives this year that make a few resolutions, but don’t do anything about them at all. It’s as if they said it only because they felt it was expected of them or they were hoping that things will change by themselves without any effort on their part.
